Shapes Patterns & Denim

If you have been veiwing a few of my recent post or even following me on instagram ( instagram.com/askiabdull) , you'll know that I've been putting Coachella type looks for myself this summer, since I wanted to go but couldn't make it. 

With this look I wanted to play around with patterns and I guess as you can see denim. A lot of people say I never really match but that's not the case. As long as things go well together for me then it works. I mixed up this stroll stripped hat I got from Forever21 with this purple shape and stripped lined pattern shirt I got from Parkave thrift store. I thought the two worked well for a little pattern block (lol)... I also wore this DIY Levi jeans I ripped myself and I just threw on these classic Puma tennie shoes to complete my look for a chill day.

I already miss my love it's always so hard saying see you later in nyc....

Askia Takes On #NYFWM Day 1

I finally found a good amount of images from my day one during New York Mens Fashion Week. I honestly don't have none of myself but its ok cause I hardly attended Fashion Week alone this year. I thought I share these and give you a few little once I get my images back, hopefully it&s sooner then later.

This is my last well not really finally look but I honestly didn't take pictures in my fourth look. This look wasn't actually planned at all. I was suppose to be chilling and maybe touring the city and meeting up with friends. As you can see my bro Roberto Johnson ( http://www.fashioninspanglish.com/stylist/ ) drang me out to kick off my fashion week as soon as I got there. I remember I packed my friend Joycelyn Tamaris Hill contrast Tee but I honstly didn't know how I wanted to wear it but seeing that it is kind of fitting I thought why not dress it up a little.  I pulled out these ankle length pants from H&M and thought I should go for a dressy feel but I added these Dr. Marten ss16 Gryphon sandals from Stolestruck.com . I finished my look off with a top hat from Forever 21 , shades from Urban outfitters and a leather bag from Topman.

If you check out the pix below you can see that it rained and I had on sandals I honestly hate the rain but I also ran into a few of my instagram friends which was pretty cool seeing them in NYC. Mens fashion bought out a lot of fashion men this season.

Askia Takes On #NYFWM Day2

Now let's get into my Day 2 look of New York Men's Fashion Week. With this look which was one of my favorite during that week, I wanted to take a walk down memory lane and also add in some new creative ideas I've been wanting to try, seeing that it is fashion week.

Here the dish on one of my favorite looks from Men's fashion week New York. I pull inspiration for this look from a few places to be honest. I looked back on my last fashion week looks and also a time when I played around with patterns, and I took a few pointers from Dries Van Noten men's spring 16 collection. 

I wanted to do a whole print on patterns look just for the shows I attend that day I thought it would fit best really for Gypsy Sport Presentation but I had a few shows before and didn't want to change.

I went with this white circle shape short sleeve button down but I didn't wanna button it so I made seem as if it was a wrap shirt which worked pretty well after I tuck it and I wore these white lined shorts. I thought this setup would work well as a stand alone look but I never actually took the black coat off.

Let's see I also wore this "Tres Cool" H&M leather tote and got really creative and cut the toe off my socks to make it look as if my feet were wrapped which work well with my dr martin sandals I got from SoleStruck. I got the sock idea from just playing street fighter and watching ballerina videos of them wrapping their feet and thought it was cool.

Askia Takes On #NYFWM Day 3

Hey Guy's

I guess you can say I finally rounded up my Men's Fashion Week looks , well A few. I decided to start off backwards from day 3 and work my way up hope you guy's like what I came up with.

With day 3 of #NYFWM I was definitely banking on going with 2 different looks that day. 1. It was my last day of shows and 2. Just cause I wanted to. This wasn't my original look that day only because once I tried it on again I didn't like it and I just thought it was fit for the Perry Ellies show, which was amazing.

I stuck with this white light blue stripe blazer I thrifted from parkavethriftstore.com I also pieced it with a few other pieces I had left in my bag to wear like a light blue tank I tunked into these tartan trousers you all have actually seen me wear before and I also wore some court star Puma's from C21stores.com , also forgot my accessories brim hat Urbanoutfitters as well as the reflector shades and an oversized banking clutch I thrifted. Guess who's back home for a week in the Big Apple. I thought I make a little appearance since Mens fashion week is making it's way back to New York. Who would I be if I didn't. I'm all about the new change in men's fashion and I believe we are finally here. Can't wait to share all of my experience with you all.

Late Nights Early Mornings

Hey Guys

Seeing that you all never really get to see all my looks or even when I just go out with friends at night. I thought I would share with you all my look from last night.

It sucks sometimes I have a whole closet full of clothes and I never have anything I wanna wear. Smh! I feel as if we all have this problem. This is a time where I get a little creative but I was definitely in a rush I had a few things I needed to do in so little time.

I tired to throw something easy together but still with a little twist. I know summer has started and it looks as if I layered a little but my top is very light which actually use to be a womens dress I cut into a top. Its very light and easy just to throw on seeing that I was in a rush, also I pieced with this well I guess you can call it a kilt maybe but kind school girl skirt. ( yeah I said school girl skirt) I actually picked up both pieces from Park ave Thrift store outlet which is a favorite thrift store of mine. I also wore these rude denim jeans from Hot Topic and my Dr Marten sandals from Sole struck, oh and my red brim from Urban Outfitters.

Parking White

I have been loving my weekends, a lot lately and its not because I'm off like almost every weekend....lol

I just been enjoying Atlanta a lot more. I told myself just cause I took a mini vacation from living in New York doesn't mean I can't enjoy life anymore. I plan to finally enjoy Atlanta and see what it has to offer.

This day I had a very chilled out day with friends and we ended our day with a walk around Piedmont Park .
