Rihanna For LUI Magazine

TAN LINES!! TAN LINES!!  TAN LINES!! Rihanna did it again as she recreates LUI 1972 cover and bearing it all for this months issue of French Mens magazine LUI ( on Newsstands TOMORROW )  wearing nothing but her tattoos, body jewelry and small bottoms,  shot by Mario Sorrenti. The POP princess never fails to amaze us.. 

LET'S TALK ABOUT: RICCARDO TISCI x NIKE COLLECTION

Can I just say I back in love with Air Force 1s. It's no surprise to me at all that Nike collaborated with Riccardo Tisci the Givenchy designer for the new Air Force 1 RT collection. Tisici gave us a preview back in January with him and Joan smalls on the ad for the reveal of the new shoe collection. The collection was fully released yesterday and come in four different styles the hi, mid, low and the boot which I love and they also come in black as well. This collection will certainly be flying off the shelves , it's the most talked about shoe right now. I can't wait to get my hands on these.

ABDULL'S SS14 IDEAS

I guess it's time to say good bye to winter and say hello to spring, well maybe not just yet in New York with all this crazy weather we've been having. I wanted to give you guys a little preview of what my spring wardrobe may look like this season, I've already gave you in a earlier post my shoe wishlist for ss14 .I put together a few looks from a few of my favorite designers like Christopher Shannon, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Lavin, Rick Owns and Dries Van Noten. Spring for me I wanna be very color, printed, free and lose fitting but still very put together and tailored to the T with great details and also some good simple statement pieces.

 
 Seeing that it's still pretty cold out, I wanted to take my style to a new level and get into new looks like baggy lose fitting trousers and kind of fitted shirts but still thin like fabrics cause as I said this New York weather will play tricks on you at times and have great simple details. Lavin and 3.1 Phillip Lim are best for just that.

Moving on to the white on white . . I may move more towards cream cause white is very hard to keep clean. With whites I still want to give a statement and still go baggy but funk it up a little and get edgy and Christopher Shannon is known for his edginess which is so me ( images to the right).   I also wanna keep things short, printed and colorful as well. like solid short sets, print on print looks or even patterns on prints. Designers like Dries Van Noten , Christopher Shannon and 3.1 Phillip Lim were great for this.

Sanadls, bags, dress shoes, sneakers and details will be my best friends this season.

NEW YORK BIKE STYLE RELEASE PARTY

I had the chance to attend Photographer Sam Polcer (http://sampolcer.com) release party at the Redbeard Bikes his new publish book called "New York Bike Style" with one of my dear friends Rashad Benton of (http://malecritique.com). I met Sam back last summer at the North-side Festival in Brookyln by my surprise he remembered me and Rashad which was crazy but a good thing.

The book signing was such a great turn out for him. I thought the book was amazing featuring stylish people and also different bike types around New York. I never heard of something like this and people actually buying it and mostly everyone in the room had a copy of it so dope congratulations Sam definitely would love to be apart of it the next time definitely will be getting a bike soon :).

I know it's been forever since you seen my face really but my look was very chill and laid back, plus it was raining I hate the rain :(. I wore a Chuck Original floral snap back with an oversized mustard sweater over a flannel pajama shirt and a Giorgio Armani parka with some DIY ripped jeans (love distressed denim). Another thing I actually love is Adidas I decided to dip into some of my old sneakers from high school and pulled out these colorful babies and as you can see I'm wearing some of my favorite elastic laces HICKIES.
